The syntax is very nice (I habr carpal tunnel) and i use it a lot for scripting, even though its apparently the most popular language right now with the most coverage and best documentation, it will never be used outside of individuals doing their own scripting because of packages not being portable and compiling being pretty shitty(most tools haven't been updated in a decade)
